Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: blue, Grip Wax:

Skied the Pine road today out to the Lac Phillipe campgrounds. Nice skating conditions most of the way on a warm day. I guess we managed to miss most of the freezing rain or precip of any kind. Grooming was fairly recent and in good shape. Classic tracks looked solid but there were quite a few short stretches where leaves and gravel had been pulled up by the groomer. Further evidence that we don't have a lot of snow. Steep descents were predictably washed out and had some icy spots but not so bad you couldn't avoid them by going a little to one side or another.
