Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Vauhti Violet covered with Carrot (just because I used Violet last night and it was colder this morning)
Its definitely rock skiing, but it is skiable. Also, it does get better the further up you go. The best part is between Keogan and the T and the Champlain parkway between Black's Lake and Champlain. We did classic, mostly on the grass at the side of the parkway but there is a bit of ice over the pavement which made us wonder if skating might be ok too.
Not good, but better than more dryland training! We need more snow!!!
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
