Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

This not really a ski report but I thought I would report on my observations having navigated the parkway loop on road bikes this morning.

1. For the most part, the riding is good on the parkways, with the exception of P10-Fortune Lake, and the area around the Fortune/Champlain parkway junction. Expect LONG sections of walking if you are on your road bike.

2. If you would really like to do some skiing, there are various reasonable stretches (400m?) of quite skiable conditions in the near the Fortune/Champlain junctions.

3. Finally, it might interest some to know that I saw somebody out rollerskiing near P5.
