Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: Ch180, Grip Wax:

Skate skied from P16 all the way to intersection with #73.
The trail is changing very fast. Given it's partly in the shade, it alternated between soft snow and icy conditions for the most part. A fair bit of dirty snow (which made gliding slower by the end as the dirt sticks to your skis). I had to take my skis off at the very start/end and on the return trip by the second bridge (not too long after the two cabins).
Overall a very enjoyable ski. I enjoyed basking in the sun at the Lac Philippe campground (very warm, no wind) and stopped at Herridge for a bit on the way back to do some easy birdwatching (what a treat).
