Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #1 (blue), Glide Wax: Swix LF7, Grip Wax:

Skate skied to the fire tower today. Did P10 to gossip corner, Ridge to intersection with 1b, #1 to the tower, back to Champlain Lookout and to P10 via CP and FP.
Another day with excellent glide. As a friend put it, any wax would have worked today. Grooming had been done all the way to McKinstry -- beautiful. From McKinstry to the fire tower, it had been groomed by skiers -- I'd rate that part 4 stars. Only the odd patch of ice. Fortune Parkways was good on the way out, but a whole section by the lake had turned into ice by the time I got back (you could bypass it though).
A friend I bumped into said he (skate) skied on #3 and it wasn't too bad despite the fact it hadn't been groomed.
I'll try to venture somewhere else tomorrow.
Hopefully another good week of skiing awaits us.
