Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #36 (blue), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Vaughti orange

Trail 36, from O'Brien. The website indicated week old grooming (January 20), however it had been done since yesterday's 4 cm. The "return" classic track was firm and well formed formed, while the outgoing one was skier-made. There were both good and bad spots - at times there were ridges, bumps and moguls, at others it was quite uniform. There were rocks poking through the predictable spots - notably the twisty downhill before the first swamp. The scenery was a treat, but I unfortunately had to bail out after a few Km becasue of a knee problem acerbated by the uneven terrain.
