Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1 Penguin Climb, #4, #8, #22, #34, Glide Wax: Vauhti Green, Grip Wax: Vauhti Fluor Orange, covered by Vauhti Fluor Green

Despite the cold, the last couple of days have been nice skiing in the park. Here is a synopsis of conditions:

Parkways--by and large the skate lanes are perfect. The classic tracks don't appear to have been re-set since before the weekend and therefore have some windblown snow in them in places.

Ridge Road: Not groomed overnight, but coverage is basically good.

Burma: Very bumpy, but good coverage.

Fortune Race course: Packed, good coverage, quite bumpy here and there, no classic tracks yet.

Small trails like 22, 8, 24. These are a riot right now if you don't mind scraping the odd rock here and there. Some snowshoers have done a little damage here and there (like on Skyline) for example, but nothing to get in the way of your fun.
