Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy , North Loop, Glide Wax: Purple, Grip Wax:

Light dusting of snow over a solidly groomed base made for fast, easy skating conditions. The nicely groomed base has set up and the fresh snow gives easy edging which made skating quite effortless.

Classic tracks on the other hand were still pretty inconsistent. Sometimes good, sometimes shallow or washed out completely and always a little squirrely. Still not enough snow to sink good classic tracks in I guess. That said they aren't so bad to stay home. The snow is good and the weather has been very pleasant the last few days. More than worth the trip to classic ski... and the skating is great.
