Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 101 North, 102, 106, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

We were surprised by the good conditions despite the lack of grooming. Classic tracks were in good shape and were fast. The skating trails were a bit bumpy, especially the ones that were more heavily used yesterday. Skating sections that had not been used since the last grooming were delightful. We don't often get conditions so favourable to two skate and really long glides. I did a lot of double poling in the track, marathon skate and offset over the bumpier sections.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
