Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: blue extra v40

Air temp -9C when we left P10, -5C on our return. The grip wax was perfect and my partner's hairies were also doing a good job. Classic tracks on FLP were hard and icy. Trail 1 had been groomed, but a fair bit of debris as well as bare spots in the vicinity of Shilly Shally. Snacked outside Huron Shelter, then headed down the CP, which was in good shape. FLP on return was extremely fast after gossip corner (junction with 1). No poling needed after the Ford Pinto steep hill sign at Fortune Lake. The return track was very shallow in places, so care needed to avoid losing control. Skate skiers were in their element, so obviously great conditions for them.
