Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 1, 2, 2, 3, 6, 8, 12a, 12b, 12, 103, 104, 106, 107, TCT, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

The 411 trails (1, 3, 6, 8, 10) are in surprisingly good shape (corn snow mostly). Trail 12 has some cracks in the snow base and icy stretches. Trail 8 has a 20\' patch of grass under the powerlines. TCT/107 isn\'t bad. The flat trails at 401 are suffering with melt water. 102 is under a foot of water, 101 has 100m stretches of pond, 104 has a creek in the middle.

Also? The options for the trails at Kanata Nordic no longer reflect the distances or the available loops? May need to add Watts Creek Trail for next year as well.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
