Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: #51, #53, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Skin Skis
Surprise! Unexpected, new snow! We had a lovely, very slow, but very beautiful ski on trails 53 to P19 and back on 51 and 53. Classic tracks were extremely shallow and wiggly on trail 53, but much better formed on trail 51. It was often better skiing classic out of the tracks! Interestingly, though, it was trail 51 that was "not recommended". We considered skiing the triangle, but were easily deterred by the complete lack of classic tracks on trail 50. The fresh snow and the great company made for a very enjoyable ski despite the odd conditions.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
