Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 101 North, 102, 103, 104, 106, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

The warm temperatures are softening the classic tracks. It was still in good condition while I was out, especially 103 and 104 which gets some shelter from the trees. Little debris on tracks. Classic tracks disappearing in a few spots, but mostly at crossover points. Some angles groomed on 104 are a bit too tight for classic skis (I’m referring to the groomed tracks on the open field). Double tracks are lovely, where present, and allows you the opportunity to chat with your ski partner, which is great!

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
