Trails Skied: 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 12, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Conditions today are variable on the upper trails, and overall deteriorating in the cold. Both skate trails and classic trails are uneven in many places, debris in places is moderate to heavy and impeding glide, and there is lots of snow rubble, mostly currently in the skate track, due to the low temps. In other places conditions are excellent, but never for a very far stretch. Still, it was worthwhile to get out, and according to the KN website conditions might be better on the lower trails, but I chose upper as I wanted the protection of the trees in the cold morning temps.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
