Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: , Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Skied late this afternoon from Asticou. Busy place with lots of skiers, a dozen snow shoers and a few walkers. The Gatineau parkway was freshly groomed and in great shape. The snow is quite fast but soft, not icy. Classic tracks looked firm and well formed. There had been a lot of traffic but grooming was holding up well. Trails #5 and #26 were freshly groomed and in good shape as well. Trail #29 was nice where groomed, but the ungroomed section was hard packed to icy. Still skiable, though your wax might not have worked as well there. Using that as reference skiing on the fresh groomed trails would be best.
