Kanata Nordic
The dusting of new snow we got this morning did wonders with freshening up the trails. Classic tracks are mostly still present from the most recent grooming, with enough depth still to be in great condition with the new snow. The skate track looked to be in good shape. Very little debris.
Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).
The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.
Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
