Kanata Nordic
The good news is the above 0 weather yesterday was too brief to make the snow crusty, it is still in great condition. The bad news is debris is starting to pile up on the trails, especially in the classic tracks; fallen leaves and tree dirt is plentiful enough to impede glide in many places. Overall conditions are still really good.
Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).
The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.
Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
