Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #40, #1 (blue), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: VR45

P12 to McKinstry with classic skis. The whole route had recenly been groomed. The climb up the #40 had a hard surface but was not difficult or slppery (though we did see skiers walking down #2). Once up on the #1 the surface was excellent for fast classic (or skate) getting even better as you go further west. Coming back was very fast but not at all difficult to control. Down the #40 was still fine as the surface had been roughed up by skiers descending. Only the last 30 metres to the car park was icy. I would expect conditions on this route to continue to be good over the next few days as the temperatures are staying low and with a small amount of snow predicted.
