Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Champlain Pkwy, #1 Penguin Climb, #1, #1B, #24, Glide Wax: Vauhti Wet, Grip Wax: Guess: Swix universal silver klister, covered with Vauhti GF red hard wax.

Had a rare opportunity to get out the Firetower today, starting from P7. It got just cold enough overnight that in many places things froze up. In some places (like P7 to Keogan) this led to fairly icy, glazed and rutted conditions that I wouldn't recommend. In other places, however, (like the Parkway network in general and Ridge Road beyond Champlain) things were much better, with fresher smoother snow that was still reasonably fast. Classic waxing will again be tricky. In some places the tracks are glazed and icy, while in others there is still damp, fresh snow. Might be a day for skins if you are a lazy waxex (not that I a judging you or anything....)
