Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: , Glide Wax: Vauhti Blue, Grip Wax: Vauhti Carrot

Last ski of 2009! We skied from P6 to Mica and then to the bottom of Black's Lake and back a few times this afternoon while it snowed, lightly at first then more heavily. It was ard to tell how recent the grooming was when we started but the base was firm and level and the tracks were visible. The debris in that area was minimal and mostly cleaned-up, quite beautiful scenery. By the end of the ski the conditions were great ~5cm of new snow at -5C, always fast, and the tracks looked like perfect Carrot skiing. The park might get significant snowfall from this storm as there was already than the 2-4cm predicted. If that happens skiing will be great.. just as we all go back to work. Happy New Year!
