Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: Doesn't matter., Grip Wax: Really doesn't matter
Of course, I knew that the skiing was going to be terrible. But I know that there are some people who are willing to ski in even the worst of worst conditions. So, just for them, I skied from P5 to the T at Fortune to be able to report back. Briefly, in the general category of "rock skiing", the conditions to day would fall withing the lowest sub-category: "poor". It is icy and rutted, with bare patches in some places. The obvious thing to do is get yourself to the Nakkertrak!
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
