Headed out fairly early from P8 up to penguin skating. The conditions were great except for a few exposed rocks near the top of penguin. We continued on ridge road towards Champlain before turning around and heading back the same way. Ridge road was in great shape, there were a few exposed rocks on the big steep hill between Keogan and Huron but they are easily avoided. It was nice to see some snow starting to fall as we finished up.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
