Kanata Nordic
Conditions were fun and fast this morning. Grooming was in progress while I was there. Where it was done conditions were 4-4.5 flakes for classic, but surface was a bit grainy so I can't give it a perfect rating. Snow was loose enough for good control, very little debris. It was already starting to warm up when I left before noon, so it may be stickier if you are getting out this afternoon.
Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).
The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.
Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
