Kanata Nordic
A couple of loops around the upper trails as the Saturday lessons were winding down. Snow is perfect for skate, only a few soft spots where poles punch through the track. Classic tracks looked solid, too. Looks like we'll have a good stretch of great skiing!
Hats off to everyone who did the Gloppet this weekend! Remember, Family Day Monday (if you have the day off) is "recover from the Gloppet" day - perfect for a relaxing ski at KN.
Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).
The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.
Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
