Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 1, 2, 8, Glide Wax: skating, Grip Wax:

I skied #1 and #8 last night, and they were in excellent condition after grooming. Such a delight. Tracks were fast and the trails meander among the trees. The racing group was out. Ungroomed trails were rather icy. I also noted that the street lamp at the top of #2, intersection with #6 and #1 was out, though it had been on during the day.

I was back out today around 3pm. We skied the same route with multiple times around #8. There was some fresh snow. High school time trials were going on. We left when the freezing rain started around 4:30.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
