Kanata Nordic

Trails Skied: 1, 2, 6, 8, 12a, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: skins

Skiing was good where classic tracks were skied in, though elsewhere there was a slight crust from the freezing rain. A few skaters had also left ski tracks along the route. Also a lot of deer tracks and scat. I can see that the deer are also taking advantage of the grooming. Picture included. There were a few cars in the campground parking lot.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
