Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: North Loop, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: LF 7

I hate to rock the boat, when everyone is voting "4 stars", but I thought today was 5 stars! It was zero degrees at the time, which is WAX HELL for anyone skiing classic without skin skis. I haven't skied much on the north loop this year, but after a week of almost too much fabulous classic skiing in other areas of the park, a very short, easy skate was extremely appealing. And it was sheer heaven for skating! It was nicely groomed, and firmly soft, if that makes any sense. The only negative was the sheer numbers of skiers. By 9:45 there were lines of skiers trying, unsuccessfully to get a parking spot at P8. When I left, P9 spot was grabbed immediately by a waiting skier. Mid winter wonderful!
