Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1 Penguin Climb, #6, #19, #34, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

There is nothing in our Ottawa icescape that suggests good skiing so thank goodness for the reports from here yesterday.

I did the short loop on top of the Penguin climb - 19, 34, 6. Coverage was good. There was a bit of soft snow on top of a weak crust. The overhanging trees have lifted so 19 is skiable again. There was only one open creek crossing on #34. It is all quite nice. If we get more snow tonight, I would say that backcountry will be very good throughout.
