I was hoping today's nice new fluffy snow would make for decent skiing on the upper trails (it's my first time out this year), but unfortunately it's still too wet up there, too much water seeping out of the limestone. There were spots where conditions were wonderful, but most of the trails were rough and wet patches and exposed limestone everywhere. I'm glad I went, but couldn't recommend it. I'll try the lower trails next time as others said they were good a couple of days ago.

Kanata Nordic

Kanata Nordic ski club is a volunteer-run club dedicated to promoting lifelong activity, fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors through a variety of cross-country ski programs and activities offered in a friendly club setting. Established in 1979, Kanata Nordic now calls Wesley Clover Parks home with a growing trail-network for all skiers to enjoy. The club is a member of Cross Country Ontario (CCO) and Cross Country Canada (CCC).

The club grooms and maintains approx. 18km of trails at 401 Corkstown Road.

Trails are groomed 5 times per week by volunteer groomers. Tracksetting occurs after each significant snowfall and just prior to Saturday lessons (usually January through March). Trail conditions will vary depending on snowfall and snow conditions. Access to the club trails requires a membership or day-pass.
