Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, #1B, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

A short dusk skate ski in blizzard conditions. Out on 1 / 1B, back on 1A / CP. Poor skiing conditions for the most part: 5cm or so of wet, crusted snow with ruts from previous skiers made for slow going and tough balance. 1A and Champlain were a little harder and made for good, crust-skiing conditions. 1 classic track on FP was in very good conditions but terribly slow because of a thin layer of fresh sticky snow. Great to be out anyway. And the good news is that with this refreshed base, fresh snow falling tonight and more in the forecast on Friday, we have the ingredients for a great week end..: assuming a decent grooming job. If groomers read this, thanks in advance !
