Mooney's Bay Ski Area
Trails Skied: Stadium, Skate Loop, Glide Wax: -5 to -10, Grip Wax:
SKATE: Very hard, very fast conditions with a fair number of icy spots. Having said that, it is a wonderful how well the Mooney's Bay groomers have been able to reclaim the tracks considering the horrible weather we've had. The Stadium loops are in really good condition with a good topping of granular snow. The park is a lot more icy but still very easily navigated.
CLASSIC: The classic tracks are solid, deep in most places and were pretty fast the two or three times I tried them.
TRAFFIC: Very few people there.
Mooney's Bay offers skiing inside the Ottawa city limits! There are 5.5 km of groomed trails for classic and skate with some portions lit at night. Perfect for after work. Perfect for the entire family. To view course offerings: Ottawa 2021/2022 Recreation Registration Page.

The indoor facility will be open from mid December through early March (weather permitting), at the following times: 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Saturday and Sunday.
