Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, #51, #53, #55 (green - shared), #55 (green - alternative), Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: Cold klister under Teho Green.

Our group had their annual long ski today on various routes on the 50's. Conditions were excellent with fresh grooming and fast tracks.
Most went classic while one skated. 53 seems to work well for sharing trails now that the second track has been put in. In any case, it was quite quiet while we were on it, except for one other group heading in the same direction.

By afternoon, the trails were buzzing. There is still only one classic track on 51 and when we were returning and tired, this was annoying, not because of skaters, but because by early afternoon there was heavy classic traffic coming from P17, so that our group had no chance to use the single track, the track being on our left. There were also a couple of near misses, apparently, on trail 52 as various classic groups, of different speeds and skill levels passed on some of the steeper hills.

Thanks again Demsis for another perfect day. The only thing rivalling the skiing today, was the group feast at the pub afterward.
