Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #50, #52, #53, #57, Glide Wax: blue, Grip Wax: blue

Skied the Wakefield triangle on very nice, fast tracks. Despite taking the time to put a binder on first, I still stopped a couple of times to add some kick as the snow was quite abrasive (no shock there). Maybe a klister binder would have been better. Lots of small debris on 52 but the rest of the loop was pretty clean in that regard.

53 was groomed as wide as I've ever seen it with two classic tracks -one on each side - and a wide skating lane up the middle. This meant a few branches blocking the classic track but only a few here and there.

The upper loop of 53 was nicely groomed although the classic tracks were a little shallow along here... or maybe my legs were just getting a bit wobbly as I finished up the triangle.

A nice day out. Only a few folks on the 52, clearly training for the CSM. A little busier on 53 but still quite quiet as usual for the upper part of the park.
