Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: Vauhti LF or HF Yellow., Grip Wax: Vauhti Red mixed with Vauhti Silver Plus

Just got back from GREAT day of spring skiing. Rarely do you get to ski in sun and 14C. The Parkways, at least above Mackenzie King, were obviously groomed overnight, but the classic tracks were left as is. You will find variable conditions again for classic, but generally soft and wet of course. Ridge Road between Keogan and P7 was actually really nice skiing for either classic or skate. Be warned that bare patches and water are certainly beginning to make an appearance. This afternoon should be good for some reasonable skiing without taking your skis off much.

One weird thing I've been noticing...obviously some people don't think they have to avoid skating on the classic tracks...this seems more pronounced over the last little while. Believe me, if you're a classic skier, you really would prefer if people wouldn't do that!

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
