Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1B, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #2 (from #40 to #1), #24, #33, #40, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Unusual day today where is everybody????? When P8 is not even half full, I guess the forecast of rain scared people. I met about 12 skiers at the most. My route was from P12=>#40=>#24=>#1=>#1B=>#1=>#24=>#40=>#33=>#2=>P12.

After spending 1 week enjoying the fresh powder snow in the backcountry trails, today it was back to reality, wet snow, slower conditions, a howling wind with lots of leaves and small branches all over the place. Having said that it was still a pleasant ski, I felt like I had the park to myself.

We will probably get fresh grooming after the temperature drops overnight. That was an interesting report from Jo-Ann concerning trail #56, she picked the right time to do that trail to Lac Richard. I have to get out there and try that trail but wondering after a good freeze tonight what that trail will be like since its not groomed.
