Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Champlain Pkwy, #7, #15 (blue), #35, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

A beautiful day at the Mackenzie-King Estate with lots of classic skiers and snowshoers, all smiling. We took trail 7 down to the Gatineau Parkway, then continued east on the Parkway to trail 35 at Pink Lake and trail 15 blue westward to the Gatineau Parkway. Some of those coming towards us, downhill, were going pretty fast so it was as well to be alert but we had no problems. This part of trail 15 was amazingly beautiful with a great variety of views.

Not being brave enough to do the black portion of 15 we took a long, easy loop back to P6 by taking the Gatineau and Champlain Parkways and the Mackenzie-King Road.

All the trails we skied on were freshly groomed this morning and were still in pretty good shape by late afternoon. The tracks were a lot faster today than in that wet snow yesterday. All in all, a fabulous day.
