Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #2 (blue), #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #2 (from #40 to #1), #24, #40, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

After reading Rick"s report this morning I wasnt going to go out until it started snowing around 1 pm. Headed out around 3:30 pm out to P12 for a short loop, P8 & P9 about 3 cars all together nobody at P11 or P12.

I skied up #40=> #2 to western chalet for a late afternoon snack. From there back on #2=>#1=>#24=>#40=P12. That few centimetres of snow that had fallen had stuck to the icy, crusty surface making it slower but easier to climb the hills and you could go down the hills full speed ahead. I agree with Kyle you could use ear plugs as you could hear the crunchy snow as you skied along.

All things considered a pleasant ski, and should get even better after tonight's grooming, it was still snowing as I left at 5:30 pm.
