Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: Swix purple, Grip Wax:
Skate skied FRESH TRACKS on perfect corduroy all the way to Lac Philippe on this beautiful and sunny day. Conditions were awesome for skate skiing, but the classic tracks were not done. The tracks were obviously there and solid for those that eventually did get to ski in them, but they were not done.
At one point, we caught the snowmobiles with the mats so stopped for a chat at Herridge to give them a bit more space. Never caught them again. so all was good.
These are the days that make skiing so rewarding.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
