Gatineau Park
Trails Skied: #50, Glide Wax: Vauhti LF Violet., Grip Wax: Vauhti K15 (Violet(, Vauhti Fluor Silver
We had a little extra time so we went to P16 and skied on the 50 out to Lac Philippe. For the most part, conditions were fair, with only the odd rock and usually quite visible.
The snow conditions got a little crusty overnight, and then some light snow has fallen on top, and so far it has not been groomed. The classic tracks looked to be generally in good shape and have been skied in a bit. The skating was a bit tricky in some places as a snowmobile had driven down the middle, and left some ruts that made it awkward here and there. All told though, we had a very enjoyable day.
Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery.
The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
