Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Beautiful evening for a ski. Even at 7pm the snow was really good. Warm evening of about +5C but the snow was just starting to refreeze from the snowpack beneath. Still a nice velvety layer of corn on the top and for the most part not refrozen solid even after the sun set. Skied out to 24 on Ridge before circling back to enjoy the sunset from Brule lookout. More trail will surely open up over the next few warm days but should be good skiing (with a couple of short walks)for one more weekend.

A thin ribbon of skiable snow on the flat piece of Ridge between Shilly Shally to the base of Khyber pass - still skiable but not for long. Parkway in front of the lookouts is mostly asphalt but by the time you get back to the trail up to Huron lodge the parkway is completely covered.
