Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, #1B, Glide Wax: vauhti blue, Grip Wax:

Beautiful ski after work and I managed to get it mostly in before the sun set. I skied mostly the same trails as Jo-Ann but some conditions had changed a bit since this morning. Still great skiing but some of the open areas exposed to the sun all day had melted down and now with the sun setting had refrozen into icy patches. For the most part they were in flat areas so not a real hazard but something to watch out for. Such is the nature of spring skiing. Not sure if/when Demsis will renovate the tracks next but if the daily highs remain 1 or 2 above the tracks shouldn't degrade too badly and good skiing should continue through the weekend.
