Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1B, #1 (green) (#2 - #24), #24, #33, #40, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax:

Started from P12: #40=>#24=>#1=>#1B=>#1 to Huron chalet back #1=>#2=>#33=>#40. Everything was pretty much groomed by 8 a.m as reported on the website. Like Gary mentioned conditions are quite good and fast, the classic tracks were decent, the middle or skating lane was also good a bit bumpy in spots with a few ridges but overall pretty good considering .

I guess only the diehards are coming to ski now, the parking lots have lots of room, P8 was just a little over half full, P9 had about a dozen or so cars likewise with P12. As you can see in the picture I posted of the first bridge on trail #40 there is a good 18" to 20 " inches of snow there and some places on the outside of the trails your poles disappear almost half way.

We should be good for at least 2 weeks before the rock skis come out. It will be nice to get that extra hour of ski in the evening too.
