Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: North Loop, Glide Wax: , Grip Wax: waxless

It was nice to be out again. However the snow was very soft and slow, and even some of the better skaters had to stop to rest.

The waxless classic worked somewhat, but it was still a slow, arduous process. At times the poles would disappear into never-never land - a good 15 inches below the track before they hit ice! (How many cm is that?)

Is Demsis be waiting for cold temperatures before they groom, or will they decide it's now spring skiing and resume regular grooming?

I'll be posting some photos late this evening on www.musicianonskis.ca/blog

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
