Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #1, #1B, #3, Glide Wax: Vauhti Spektra Blue, Grip Wax: Vauhti Carrot

Get out and ski the next few days! We were lucky with those last two possible season ending storms, ending up with more snow than we had before. Thrice lucky? Weather forecasters can't really predict this storm. I noticed skiers aren't taking chances or waiting for the weekend - not often P10 is full mid-afternoon mid-week!

Right now the snow is great, medium firm and fast. Grooming was variable from excellent to acceptable. Ridge was excellent, the parkways decent (awkward crown for skating), Burma was a bit soft with some hard scraped off patches and could use some attention.

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
