Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, #1, #30, Champlain Pkwy, #3, #4, #14, Camp Fortune Race Course, Glide Wax: Vauhti Blue, Grip Wax:

Probably a moot point to report now as conditions are changing and "weather" is moving in as I type this. That said, another beautiful day on the trails. Did a loop down Ridge road and wanted to take one more run down Burma while the snow was at its best with a nice corduroy track. Parkways and Ridge were also in great shape and should survive quite the predicted weather wuite well. Met a few friends on the trail all of whom had dodged work to get in another ski on the excellent tracks while they last.

Did a short loop down to Chalet des Erables and found the race trails had been freshly groomed again. Looks like maybe more Biathalon competitions(?) going on this weekend as a beautiful starting grid has been groomed out. Also met someone from the Ottawa Orienteering Club out setting control stations. They're having a competition out of Keogan on Saturday morning (if interested drop by and they'll take "walk ups"). Fingers crossed tomorrow's "weather" once again proves to be more snow than rain.
