Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: #2 (from #40 to #1), #24, #40, #1 (blue), Glide Wax: Dibloc blue LF + graphite, Grip Wax: Vauhti tar + Swix Blue (V30)

Took a somewhat convoluted classic tour around the Mc’s (MacDonald #40 & McCloskey #2 ): P12 => #40 => #24 => #1 blue => Wolf Ridge => back on #1 to water tank => #24 => #40 => #33 => #2 => P12. A very pleasant tour with generally good conditions. #40 & #2 had good classic grooming. The good news is that #1 blue skating track is much improved - it’s flat with only a slight ridge which shouldn’t be sufficient to cause problems - if you want to get in a skate-to-the-tower with the improved grooming and the warm snow predicted for tomorrow you should be able to fill your boots. The classic tracks on #1 were ideal. The only less-than-ideal trail was #33 - it’s uneven with bare spots and rocks showing. All told a pleasant day.
