Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, North Loop, #1 Penguin Climb, #1, #32, Camp Fortune Race Course, Glide Wax: Vauhti Purple, Grip Wax: Vauhti Super Pink, covered with something colder.

A little late on the reporting, but here it is. Most of the remaining XC Ottawa guys, who are not racing this weekend in Orford, got out for a Sweet afternoon ski! The conditions were rather mild, the grooming looked recent and the skiing was fast. Some of us did classic, other's skated and both looked equally enjoyable. Although, the classic tracks on Ridge Road were iffy and non existent on The Camp Fortune race trails. Camp Fortune Race trails were also, quite bumpy but made for one great ride and worth checking out if seeking something a little more on the technical side. Coming down Penguin is bullet fast and little icy in sections. The grooming should harden a little over night and the touch of fresh snow should make for some pretty nice skiing conditions this weekend. Get out and enjoy!
