Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Gatineau Pkwy, #7, #15 (blue), #15 (black), Glide Wax: blue, Grip Wax: extra blue

Just a quick addition to Karl's report from my ski last night. In addition to the parkways I also skied trails 15 and 7. Trail 15 had been groomed and track set while trail 7 had just been compacted. In both cases the coverage is pretty good but there are a few exposed rocks and a few rocks lurking just slightly under the surface lying in wait for the unsuspecting skier. As expected the rocks are on the steeper sections of the trails so ski with some caution. For the most part it is easy to ski around the rocky bits but at speed you might miss one or two. It won't take much more snow (maybe an inch or two)to cover these up for the season so here's hoping for some snowy weather.

Gatineau Park is ski paradise! The network of ski trails offer machine groomed skate skiing and classic skiing as well as little groomed backcountry trails. Multiple access points allow skiers to access a variety of terrain and scenery. The NCC offers season or daily pay rates.
