Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Champlain Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, Glide Wax: blue, Grip Wax:

Skied P5 to Champlain lookout via Gatineau and Champlain Pkwys, same route out and back. Both skate and classic appear to have been groomed last night. The skate lane is getting quite hardpacked due to lack of fresh snow, which made for fast skiing despite temperatures around -12C. Not many people out, even between Fortune Pkwy and the lookout. Beware of bare patch under bridge where Kingsmere Rd. crosses Pkwy near P5- the patch now extends almost the entire width of the road. Overall conditions are quite good on the parkways. Get out and enjoy the sunshine if you can!
