Gatineau Park

Trails Skied: Fortune Pkwy, Champlain Pkwy, #1, #1 (blue), Glide Wax: Swix LF7, Grip Wax: N/A

Skated from P10 via FP. CP, & ridge to 1km past Blanchet.

The best news is that new classic tracks were laid down between noon & 1PM - they looked great - the guy on the tracksetter was really doing a great job. The classic tracks after the lookout were two-days-old but were still in good shape.

Skating - hard-packed but fast - mad for lazy skating. The track was even as far as the Champlain Lookout. Ridge suffered from the lack of snow and tended to be uneven and "wavy"

Past the lookout there had been about 1-2 cm of new snow which improved both skating and the classic.

I had a look at #24 and #2 but was not tempted - they haven't trackset for a number of days and really need a lot more snow - particularly in the skating track.
